WELLINGTON — The Silverstream Wild are gearing up for a high-stakes opening round in the WFR Trophy, set to face fellow Premiership heavyweights Harlequins Cymraeg in a sudden-death knockout match at Wellington Stadium this Thursday.

After narrowly missing out on an automatic second-round bye—awarded exclusively to the top eight finishers in the WFRXXX Premiership—the Wild enter the tournament as the definitive number-nine seed, making them the highest-ranked team forced to fight through the opening round.
